Everything, Everything's Magic!

The Set List!

Macbeth shoes!
Everyone in the band was wearing a pair.
Makes me wanna get a pair for myself.

The AVA performance was wayy awesome. At first, I couldn't wait for the opening band to get over and done with with their songs. The band was Self-Control. I never even heard of them before. But then, after another half hour of stage set-up, Tom with the rest of the band behind him, walked on to the stage greeted with a roar of cheering from the fans. At that moment, as the lights dimmed, everybody got off their seats and rushed forward. The music was loud, especially the drums played by Atom.

David Kennedy was directly in front of me. So, no doubt i got to touch him and his sleek white guitar. He was perspiring so heavily, when he swing his head, me and the few people beside me got a shower of his sweat. It was somewhat half funny and half disgusting. David kept making eye contact with different people and nodding his head or wink his eye when their eyes met. The only time i heard his voice was when he sang the chorus of Secret Crowds. His sudden voice of pure energy totally took me by surprise. And there was this girl beside me whom i got to know, Rabiah, she shouted at him asking for his guitar pick. He wanted to gave her one but everybody around me scrambled to get hold of the pick. In the end Rabiah lost the pick to someone else, but beat this, David came back with another pick and carefully placed it into her hands. She was so happy she shouted a loud thank you to David. Lucky her! I got to have a look at the pick. It was nice. One side of it there was the AVA logo, while on the other, I-Empire emblazoned right across it. It was red in colour.

Atom did not make much connection with the crowd. I did not even hear any words from him. The only sound that was coming from him was his sick drumming. His beats were relentless and on time, never a beat too late or something. The only thing is, he seems to be rushing in between songs. As in, just as they ended one song, he'll already be playing the next beat of the song, indicating the start a new song. I guess they had to rush, due to the time restriction.

Tom teasing Matt!

Matt! Tom kept bullying Matt throughout the show. Tom kept teasing Matt about some gay thing, asking him to admit to the crowd that he was gay or something like that. Whenever Tom started teasing him, Matt would shy away hiding behind the drums. It was so funny and Matt was somewhat very very shy. Haha. And another thing, there was no keyboards in sight. So Matt only played the bass. So sad. It would have been great if he could have hit a few notes on the keyboard, adding abit more spice to the show. Was expecting the keyboards. Damn!

Tom shredding the guitar

He was this close!

The crowd

check out that guitar!

Lastly, Tom. He seems to still have abit of his Blink side in him. He was throwing vulgars words everywhere. From him to the crowd, and the crowd respond back with even more swearings. Haha. And yes! He was playing the sick, old, worn down, brown guitar of his. That guitar is priceless man. It was worn down but still looks nice. The skin of the guitar was peeling off and all that, but Tom pasted an AVA logo sticker right across it, adding abit of kick ass attitude. Before the band came on stage i already saw the guitar at the guitar rack at the side of the stage and i was already so excited to see the thing for real with my own eyes!

Crazy things that happened in the concert:

1. Tom was talking about gay stuffs and started to ask guys in the crowd whether they were gay. I happened to be the 2nd guy he asked and i was more than obliged to ans "YEAHH!".

2. Tom took a lightstick form the crowd and put it inside his underwear before giving it to the girl beside me.

3. Tom took a stack of papers from someone in the crowd who was holding it and tore it into pieces before throwing it across the stage.

4. Got eye contact with David and we head banged to the beat together before he nodded his head at me.

5. I touched Tom's sick brown guitar!

6. Tom letting girls touch his dick, literally, on stage.

There is - AVA

To give all of you a taste, here's There is performed solely by Tom. Before he performed the song he was talking about how he fucked all of our mums and that all of us were his kids. Incredibly damn and funny. And at the final bit of the video, Tom played Reckless Abandon. One of Blink's old songs. I thank god for There Is, man. Was really hoping Tom would play that song. Totall-E stoked!

Dasy with Taya!

Taya so hot, hot!

And I suppose as a grand finale to the night, as soon as i stepped out of the concert hall, Taya was there! If you guys don't know who Taya is, she is Mtv's VJ. I swear to god, she's so much hotter, skinnier, and sexier in real life than in TV. Damn, she was freaking skinny. Bahhhh. Bonus for the night!

I really thank god for this experience. Honestly, after the performance, i felt that i've gone through a chapter in my life, and was ready to face whatever that was coming next. It was a totally destressing and cleansing experience, being able to see your idol in real life in front of your eyes. It kind of gives you hope and strength to go through with your life. And knowing that Tom have performed countless times all over the world, and being able to see him right in front of you, the feeling was unbelievable. I suggest that you, my readers, should really catch your favourite stars perform live if they ever come to Singapore. A truly enriching experience.

Amin.
