Today was quite another early day. Had a soccer match with Phattzion at Yishun. Imagine Yishun, so remotely far! We reached there quite early but in the end had to wait so long for the opponent. Blast them, got pretty peeved. Thank god my ankle is working pretty much fine already. I even scored one. ^^\/ We won the match 5-3.

And then after the match, which was already around 2, we headed for brunch at Northway Point. Beat this, the food mall there is way awesome. A horde variety of Halal foods. And each stall specialises on one dish. The stall i ate specialised on Pattaya Fried Rice, and they had a dozen or more dish to go along. I chose to have the rice with spicy drumlets. Not bad.

Speaking about food, the phatt guys was at NP's Makan Place ystd and kicked up quite a fuss.

  • Makan Place has only one Malay food stall
  • So they shoudn't be calling the place MAKAN place if there's minute amount of malay food
  • Then there's this words on the wall at the entrance where they display words such as "chinese", "malay", "indian", "snacks" and "desserts"
  • The "Malay" word was the SMALLEST, even smaller then the "snacks" and "desserts"
  • Thus they figured it ironic to call it MAKAN place when everything malay-related about it was so damn microscopic
If you are an NP student and reading this, I suggest you check out the wall on the entrance, the one nearer to FMS block. Pretty funny.

Had good hard laugh about that. We weren't being racist or something, just realising somthing ironic and having a good laugh about it. And now I just got word that NP students are sending around an online petition to have more halal food stalls in NP. Hah. Good way to start.

Those who want more HALAL stalls be it you being malay or chinese or indian or somewhere along those lines, or say you want some prata at makan place just click here!
